PARIDOL M is a versatile preservative which can be applied in a very broad range of applications to protect against microbial spoilage. It is primarily used as a fungicide. PARIDOL M is slightly soluble in water and soluble in propylene glycol, ethanol or phenoxyethanol. PARIDOL M can for instance be mixed in the third phase, into the warm water phase of an emulsion before emulsification (it can resist usual emulsification temperatures, e.g. 80 °C), or in a surfactant combination. Typical in-use concentrations are 0.05 – 0.2 %, together with other parabens (e.g. Ethylparaben, Propylparaben) and bactericides. PARIDOL M provides broad spectrum preservation and helps extend the shelf life of products.
