Topical formulations have evolved significantly over the decades, but formulators still face challenges like formulation stability and incompatibility. Here at IMCD, we have taken a particular interest in re-formulating old tacky formulations using newer, simpler manufacturing methods and specialty topical ingredients. In this video, we are highlighting a cream with urea, where pH stability and API degradation are known issues. In this concept for atopic dermatitis, we looked at stability, viscosity, and skin feel alongside the correct manufacturing method.
