MOLDX A100

MOLDX A100 is an optimized alumina trihydrate product that gives processable viscosities to formulations at very high loadings from 250 phr to greater than 350 phr. The high loading levels, resulting from the use of MOLDX A100, put within the compounder's reach the elimination of halogenated resins and other additives typically used to pass conventional flame retardant certification tests such as UL 94VO, UL94 5VA, as well as Class I A STM E84 ratings. Furthermore the elimination of halogens from formulations result in reduced smoke generation. The unique particle size distribution of MOLDX A100 is responsible for giving the low filled viscosities at high loading levels coupled with excellent processing characteristics. MOLDX A100 can provide low cost flame retardancy and smoke suppression in a variety of other color sensitive thermoset processes such as BMC, pultrusion, spray-up and hand lay-up, wet mat molding and epoxy potting.
